Because investment offerings have become increasingly complicated and costs can be difficult to determine, there has been a lot of talk about transparency in the financial advice industry. Radnor clients find it very easy to answer the following questions:
- What do I own?
- How am I doing?
- How much am I paying?
If you cannot answer these questions to your satisfaction, perhaps we should talk.
Our goal is to work with you to create a portfolio of individual securities derived from careful analysis of your circumstances. Elements of this collaborative process might include assessments of investment timeframe, income needs, risk tolerance and other personal considerations. In addition, we are accustomed to working closely with our clients’ tax and estate planning advisors.
Once this in-depth work has been completed, we meet with you to discuss an initial asset allocation and investment strategy that best meets your needs. We proceed from that point by mutual agreement. Since each investor is different, there will be different ways to measure performance. For some it is steady and rising income. For others it is long term investment returns. For yet others, capital preservation and mitigating downside risk are the most important considerations.
Finally, since goals and needs change over time, we meet with our clients frequently to review investment progress and results. As needed, we rebalance portfolios to adapt to changing client circumstances and evolving market conditions.
